The First Church Stoneham Food Pantry is staffed entirely by volunteers. There are several opportunities to serve at the Pantry. Volunteers are needed to pack food orders, pick up and process donations, and deliver food orders. Lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds may be required.
Process community food donations: (Currently no openings) Check dates, sort and box up community food donations and stock pantry shelves.
Pack bags with customized food orders for home delivery: (Currently no openings) On the third Tuesday of each month from 9:30am-12pm. Pack bags of shelf-stable items and fresh and frozen foods based on individual custom orders.
Assist guests during order pickup: (Currently no openings) Weekly on Thursdays between 9:30-1:00 pm. Duties include set-up, greeting customers, carrying bags to vehicles, re-stocking shelves and clean-up.
Due to our tight working quarters and concern for the health of our staff and clients, volunteers MUST be vaccinated against Covid-19.
Volunteers MUST be of at least high school age. All volunteers are required to sign a volunteer release form.
